We are beyond proud to announce that Restaurant Interlude has been awarded Best Restaurant with Rooms of the Year in England at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2025/2026.

Since 2019, when it earned a prestigious Michelin Star, and with three AA rosettes added to its accolades since 2020, Restaurant Interlude has consistently delivered an extraordinary dining experience. Executive Chef Jean Delport masterfully curates an ever-evolving set tasting menu, making each visit exceptional.
Nestled within the historic Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in West Sussex, Restaurant Interlude offers more than just a meal, it is a journey. Each dish is inspired by the seasons and foraged ingredients from our 240-acre estate, paired with immersive storytelling and a sense of place. Our rooms extend that experience, offering elegant and peaceful stays that complement the culinary adventure.

Guests are invited to extend their experience by retreating to the Grade II listed Leonardslee House for an overnight stay. Each of the ten boutique rooms, thoughtfully crafted by leading British design houses, reflects a unique blend of heritage and contemporary elegance. These tranquil spaces offer a quintessential country escape, where restful nights are paired with the gentle embrace of nature. Mornings can be savoured slowly, with the option to indulge in a carefully curated breakfast that complements the calm and charm of the surroundings.
Beyond the elegance of the rooms, guests enjoy exclusive afterhours access to the Grade I listed woodland gardens, which serve as our primary source for foraging culinary delights. This provides a serene backdrop for evening strolls or tranquil morning exploration.

If you haven’t yet visited, now is the perfect time.
